Sing-a-Long Programs

Sing-a-Longs are of great benefit to people of all ages, but especially the elderly. It has been known to not only increase memory function, reduce muscle tension but also stimulate relaxation.

Below you will find links to Quality Aging’s Sing-a-Long playlists.

All songs have the stars such as Doris Day, Abba and Patti Page, along with many others singing their songs while words run along the bottom of the screen. Residents can enjoy the music or they may sing-a-long with the words.

Introduce instruments such as bells, tambourines, maracas to allow residents to participate more actively.

Have a fun and exciting afternoon as residents become involved with the songs from their past, singing, laughing and playing the musical instruments.

Currently there is an issue on YouTube beyond our control, causing our videos to be unavailable

It has come to our attention that some of our sing-a-long programs via YouTube have been blocked due to copyright issues. This is totally out of our control and we apologise for this problem. We will create some sing a long booklets with lyrics and link to the original songs, in due course. This is only affecting the Slim Dusty Sing a Long program at this time. We will add booklets as this affects more of the sing-a-long programs.

(These Sing-a-Long video clips have been put together for the sole purpose of bringing joy to the elderly in Aged Care. Quality Aging is not the owner of these videos and no copyright infringement is intended.  At times the clips may have been removed from You Tube without our knowledge and for this we do apologise, though it is beyond our control. No profit is made from these video clips. The intention is to bring some joy to our elderly residents as Time is Precious, Let’s Make a Difference!)

Leave it with me, I will check it out, it maybe You Tube restrictions… they have often removed them before. If I can get them back I will… fingers crossed… thanks for letting me know.

Take care and stay safe 😃

I have looked into it and will keep an eye on it but at this point it doesnt seem to be a Quality Aging issue.

Message on my You Tube channel states:

This post is a trending issue.

[FIXED] [Known Issue] 8/10 Videos & playlists not appearing in channel pages
Quick update – we’ve rolled out the fix for this issue, and most of the channel is back to normal! If you still see a missing video on a channel page, rest assured it’ll be back once the fix reached the channel soon.

Thanks for all your reports! Please do let us know if you still see the issue persists after a while 🙂

      Hey everyone!

We’re experiencing a Known Issue where some of you are unable to see any uploaded videos on creator channel pages. This means that the Videos or Playlists tab is empty for some of you when on mobile & desktop devices. This issue began around 4 AM PST on Aug 10 and our teams are working to fix this.

Note that while the Video & Playlist tabs appear to be empty, the actual videos are not impacted and are still viewable in Search, Home, Studio, etc. Additionally – while we wait on the fix – you can also try carrying out basic troubleshooting steps. Some of you reported how this fixed the issue!

Thanks for your patience while our teams look into this. I’ll circle back with more updates when I have them.

Wonderful! 🙂 So we are permitted to play these for our residents, but not download them? Regards, Kym

      Thank you for your comment.

As I am only a third party to You Tube you will need to read their terms and conditions about downloading clips from their site.

However I am sure playing them for your residents is just fine.
