Discover Australia, One Town at a Time

There is something special about exploring Australia — from bustling regional centres and historic country towns to remote outback communities and hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.

As I travel around this beautiful country, I continue adding new destinations to our Tripping Around Australia collection, bringing the places, people, history and fascinating stories of Australia into aged care facilities.

Each destination is designed to encourage conversation, reminiscence, curiosity and social interaction. Whether residents have visited the area, lived nearby, travelled through it years ago or simply enjoy discovering somewhere new, there's always something to talk about.

What's Included in Each Armchair Travel Pack?

Each destination comes with a collection of ready-to-use resources to help Lifestyle Coordinators deliver an enjoyable and engaging armchair travel experience.

📖 Resident Information Booklet
Discover the destination through interesting facts, local history, geography, attractions, agriculture and fascinating stories. Designed to be read aloud, encouraging residents to share memories and join in discussions.

🖥️ Photographic Slideshow
Explore the destination through photographs that bring the location to life. Slideshows are intentionally not automatic, allowing the coordinator to move through the photographs at a comfortable pace, pause for conversations and encourage residents to share their experiences.

📋 Coordinator's Booklet
Includes background information, conversation starters, discussion prompts and quiz questions with answers to help coordinators confidently guide the activity.

🎉 Invitation Poster
A colourful, editable invitation poster to promote the armchair travel experience within your facility. Add your activity details and invite residents to join the adventure.

Travel, Discover, Reminisce and Connect

Our Armchair Travel activities are more than just looking at photographs. They're opportunities to spark memories, share stories, learn something new and enjoy meaningful conversations together.

New destinations are added regularly as our travels around Australia continue.

So pull up a chair and come travelling with us as we discover Australia — one town, one story and one memory at a time.
