The Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, introduced under the Aged Care Act 2024, place greater emphasis on person-centred care, dignity, choice, independence and the rights of older Australians.
These standards provide a framework for delivering safe, respectful and high-quality aged care services, with particular attention to individual needs, preferences and wellbeing.
