The Oscars

The Academy Awards, or “Oscars”, is an annual American awards ceremony hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to recognize excellence in cinematic achievements in the United States film industry as assessed by the Academy’s voting membership.

The various category winners are awarded a copy of a statuette, officially called the Academy Award of Merit, which has become commonly known by its nickname “Oscar.”

The awards, first presented in 1929 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, are overseen by AMPAS.

We will be a wonderful performance to celebrate theOscars and would love to do the quizes in the afternoon, that would really make it a super day. Any possibility in putting the three wonderful quizes in a powerpoint presentation that would make it such a great reminiscing tool as well with the photos. I could perhaps look for some small clips on youtube in relation to some of the movies/songs? What do you think?
